The Kachina Vineyards Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel Port is made from 100% Zinfandel fruit from vineyards located along the eastern ridge of the valley.  Producing just 1.5 tons per acre this vineyard provided us fruit that is deep and rich with hints of cassis, currant, and plum.  This Port has been aged 5.5 years in french oak and fortified with 170 proof unaged grape brandy… just like the old country.

Kachina Vineyard’s Port is a blend of Sonoma County fruit comprising of Cabernet Sauvignon from Lammerding Ranch in Alexander Valley, Van Alyea Vineyards in Dry Creek and Dry Creek Valley Head-Pruned Syrah from the eastern foothills. The blend produces a wine that is rich and dark, not overly sweet, with balanced fruit. This Port is great with chocolate or fruit forward desserts. Only 40 cases were bottled from our master blend.
